Wounds.
Wounds. They are things that develop as we go through painful things in our lives. Some wounds are visible for example a scar that you got from falling off your bike or like a scar a soldier has that has been shot. Other wounds are wounds of the heart the wounds that only you can feel and the wounds that only God can truly see. It's funny how emotional wounds can be triggered by one single word or even by a photograph. Sometimes when a wound is triggered it's a good thing because it reminds you of how God brought you out of that place. I was talking with a group of people tonight and we were saying how important it is to remember what God has delivered us from. It's funny how we just forget all that God's done because everything is good again. Sometimes I wish my wounds would go away but then again I think that it's good to have them because they remind me that I am a warrior. The wounds that I already have help me deal with wounds to come. I love being a warrior bride for my savior! Wow when I starting this post I thought I was going to write something totally different...oh well! :)

I like this post. You should buy the book "Hinds feet on High Places" By Hannah Hurnard?? I don't know how to spell her last name. :) It's all about the Lord walking us through seasons in our life and taking "the thorn" out of our hearts. It's one of my absolute favorite books! It's an Allegory. So great. :)
ReplyDeleteRevival begins with remembering. Remembering what the Lord has done in our lives and how he has restored and made us new. I love it. It is hard though when the wounds are triggered. I hate when emotions and pain begin to feel real again. The healing probably comes in waves just like the pain....
Great post. :)
Thanks Dre! I have that book actually! I'm in the middle of reading it! One of my friends gave it to me! It's great!! Yes they both come in waves...:)
