Don't be afraid to want

So lately the Lord has been showing me things in my heart that need to be healed. Some things he showed me were things I already knew about but some I had no clue but once they were revealed to me they were so obvious. He showed me that because of a disappointment that happened over a year ago I have been afraid to want anything. I've been afraid to dream. I've been afraid because I thought that if I actually got what I wanted it would eventually be taken away from me. Well the Lord showed me that, that kind of thinking is totally wrong. Not everything you get or have is going to be taken away from you. The enemy tries to use that to paralyze you so that you will not advance the Kingdom. Don't believe those lies. Yes sometimes bad things or disappointments happen but that's just part of life. The one thing that will NEVER change is our security in Jesus Christ. He will never leave us. He will never let go of our hand. He wants us to dream. He is the one who puts dreams in us. When one door shuts another door opens. The things of this world are not stable but He is rock solid. So don't be paralyzed by fear any longer my friend! Take a risk, make your dreams come true and let the arms of the Lord be your safe place!
